I was always fascinated by the little quarry machine that was up from there, a chute for transferring truck-to-truck without negotiating the steep roads.GuanoLadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10003894743902155910noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5176950784481540459.post-48165666525636654202016-10-01T21:01:29.373+13:002016-10-01T21:01:29.373+13:00Ah, trusty Mister G!

I must to Google, because you're right - pigeon Flat isn't uite the [ace I'm thinking of. It's at the bottom of a big dip post-Kilmpg going north, but before Waitati. Marked by lots of bleached dead trees poking out of a valley on the left, and an overbridge before you clear the valley floor. I wrote a song about that spot. It was a rubbish song, but the spot's still great.Jet Simianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00393803864740299439noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5176950784481540459.post-81843791297410615822016-10-01T15:34:06.762+13:002016-10-01T15:34:06.762+13:00I think you mean Flag Swamp. It was well named.GuanoLadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10003894743902155910noreply@blogger.com
